West Brom have revived their bid to sign Jonny Evans from Manchester United.
Albion were quoted £10million when they first asked for Evans but United may now reduce that with Evans, 27, out of the first-team picture.
Everton, Stoke and Newcastle have also shown interest but have yet to bid. Evans wanted to join a club competing for Europe but Albion boss Tony Pulis can be persuasive with ex-United midfielder Darren Fletcher also playing a part.

Albion’s move for Spurs defender Federico Fazio has stalled but may be revived with Tottenham keen to use him in a £22m bid for Saido Berahino.
The defender was at the club’s training ground on Friday morning after the Baggies agreed a £5million deal with Spurs.
He passed a medical but Albion have been unable to reach an agreement with Fazio and are now actively pursuing other targets.
