West Brom and Watford have made opening enquiries about Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.
Albion manager Tony Pulis is not blessed with transfer funds this window and will likely need to sell first.
His interest may lead to further negotiations about Saido Berahino going in the opposite direction as the 22-year-old now enters the final 18 months of his contract with his value diminishing.

Townsend is understood to be interested in a move to Watford though they have only made provision for a loan deal at this stage with the prospect of a permanent deal in the summer. Southampton are also in the mix.
Meanwhile, Tottenham and Sevilla remain in talks over a deal that would see Federico Fazio return to Spain.
The Argentine also has interest from Fiorentina as Tottenham look to cut their losses on the 28-year-old who they signed for £8m.
Everton made an offer in the summer as they feared losing John Stones but they have failed to return while West Brom have also examined a deal.
Marseille remain keen on a loan for Austrian defender Kevin Wimmer, as reported by Sportsmail earlier this month.
The 23-year-old joined in August but has failed to make an impression on Tottenham’s first team.
