Video: England fans belt out Arsenal’s ‘Saka & Emile Smith Rowe’ chant

Footage of the pre-match scenes ahead of England’s meeting with San Marino on Monday evening will no doubt bring a smile to the face of many an Arsenal supporter.

Maguire on target

Gareth Southgate’s men are of course currently locked in action.

In their tenth and final qualifier for next year’s World Cup, the Three Lions made the trip to minnows San Marino, aware that a victory would secure their spot on the plane to Qatar.

And, as things stand on Monday evening, England’s efforts towards exactly that look firmly on track.

First, with just six minutes on the clock, Harry Maguire opened the scoring for the 2nd-game running, powering home from Phil Foden’s delivery:

Then, on the quarter of an hour mark, it was two, as Filippo Fabbri’s own goal set up what looks set to prove a comfortable evening’s work for the visitors.

Gunners talents celebrated

As outlined above, though, whilst it is the likes of Maguire and Foden who have stolen the headlines for England thus far, ahead of kick-off at the San Marino Stadium, it was in fact a pair of Arsenal stars whose names went viral across social media.

The players in question? Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

After being afforded his first appearance for the Three Lions off the bench against Albania last time out, Smith Rowe, on Monday, joined fellow Gunners starlet Saka in Gareth Southgate’s latest starting XI.

And, evidently, such news went down a treat with the England faithful, who, amid their endeavours to get ‘warmed up’ for proceedings, were spotted belting out a rendition of the ‘Saka and Emile Smith Rowe’ chant (to the tune of Rockin’ All Over the World).
