A breakdown of all the players listed can be read underneath.

1) Giorgio Chiellini (Italy)

Now 36, Euro 2020 could well be the final international tournament for Italian centre-half Giorgio Chiellini.

Chiellini started Italy’s first Euro 2020 match against Turkey, and the Juve stalwart had a cracking performance.

With over 500 career appearances, Chiellini is appearing in his sixth major international finals.

Chiellini is playing alongside Leonardo Bonucci at the heart of the Italian backline.

2) Goran Pandev (North Macedonia)

Arguably the greatest footballer in North Macedonian history, Goran Pandev got off to a flyer at Euro 2020.

The 37-year-old striker scored a memorable goal against Austria in North Macedonia’s first game in the competition.

Yes, Austria went on to win the match 3-1. However, Pandev’s goal was a superb career highlight for the cult hero.

3) Yuri Zhirkov (Russia)

Now 37, former Chelsea left-back, Yuri Zhirkov, was a familiar face at Euro 2020.

Zhirkov played in Russia’s opening game of the competition, which they lost handsomely 3-0 to Belgium.

Unfortunately for Zhirkov, he suffered a calf injury in that match which has ruled him out of the rest of the Euros.

4) Pepe (Portugal)

When it comes to football’s dark arts and shithousery, there is no greater pin-up boy than Portugal’s Pepe.

38-year-old Pepe remains a lynchpin at the heart of the reigning Euro champs’ backline.

Against Hungary, Pepe played 90 minutes alongside the much-younger Ruben Dias.

5) Maarten Stekelenburg (Netherlands)

Holland began their Euro 2020 campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win against Ukraine.

Former Fulham and Everton keeper, Maarten Stekelenburg, started in goal for the Dutch. Stekelenburg, who is now back at Ajax, is 38-years-old.

Stekelenburg is the oldest keeper at the tournament, along with 38-year-old Scottish keeper Craig Gordon.
