Bournemouth have completed the season-long loan move for Chelsea winger Christian Atsu.
Eddie Howe is determined to get his squad assembled as quickly as possible to maximise their chance of staying in the Barclays Premier League next season.
He has already wrapped up moves for goalkeepers Artur Boruc and Adam Federici this week, while winger Josh King joined from Blackburn on Thursday.

Swansea City are closing on a deal for Benfica winger Ola John.
The 23-year-old has been a target for Southampton among others but is hopeful of finalising terms on a £6million transfer to the Liberty Stadium and a five-year contract.
Swansea, who are also in the throes of signing left back Franck Tabanou from St Etienne, tried to sign John last year but the deal fell through late on.

Not quite a transfer but Paul Clement is getting ever closer to becoming Derby’s new boss.
The 43-year-old has confirmed his departure from Real Madrid after Carlo Ancelotti’s sacking and now looks set for his first management role.
Clement has agreed a £1million-a-year deal at the iPro Stadium.

Craig Hope: Hull City have released six players as they begin their rebuilding process following relegation to the Championship.
Liam Rosenior, Paul McShane, Yannick Sagbo, Maynor Figeroa and Steve Harper have all been let go, as has Joe Dudgeon, who spent last season on loan at Barnsley.
Manager Steve Bruce said: ‘Regrettably, following relegation we have made the decision to release the majority of those players whose contracts have expired.

Liverpool are ready to increase their offer for Nathaniel Clyne at Southampton.
The Anfield club have had an offer of £10million with add-ons for appearances rejected by Southampton who want the England international to stay.
They were hopeful, despite initial interest from Manchester United and now Liverpool, that Clyne would agree terms on a new contract and start next season at St Mary’s.

Riath Al-Samarrai: Bournemouth expect to complete a loan move for Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on Friday.
Sportsmail understands the components of the deal are largely completed and should be tied up imminently.

Sami Mokbel: Manchester City have set the wheels in motion over a future move for Aston Villa starlet Jack Grealish.
The 19-year-old was one of the stars of Tim Sherwood side’s survival push and is set to play in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
City have known about Grealish’s talents for a while, and were keen on adding the teenager to their academy ranks.

Wilson Palacios’ nightmare spell at Stoke has come to an end after the club released him on a free transfer.
Stoke announced on Friday that Palacios, long-serving defender Andy Wilkinson and goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of June.
Stoke signed Palacios from Tottenham for £6million in 2011, but he has started just 14 league games since.

Simon Jones: Stoke City lead the chase for Boca Juniors hot shot Jonathan Calleri but face strong competition from teams in France and Italy.
The 21-year-old impressed Potters’ scouts and the Premier League club followed up their interest by making an official enquiry for the forward

Simon Jones: Everton are interested in Fulham’s 18-year-old striker Moussa Dembele whose contract runs out next year.
According to reports in France, the Toffees have made contact with the Championship club over the transfer of the French teenager.

Simon Jones: Southampton, West Ham and Crystal Palace have asked about £7m-rated Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye was one of the stand-out performers for the French side as they finished in a respectable eighth place.
The Senegalese international is also wanted by teams in France as the race for his signature hots up.

Chris Wheeler: Liverpool are favourites to sign Danny Ings ahead of Tottenham but could be forced to pay a record £8million tribunal fee for the Burnley striker.
Although Spurs had a £12m offer accepted by Burnley on Wednesday, Ings has the final say because he becomes a free agent when his contract at Turf Moor runs out on June 30.
The 22-year-old has stressed he will not make a decision until after a holiday and it is understood he would prefer to join Liverpool. Both Manchester clubs and Real Sociedad have shown interest, too.

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Austrian centre back Kevin Wimmer on a five-year contract from Bundesliga club Cologne in a £4.3million deal.
Wimmer, 22, enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season in Germany for newly-promoted Cologne and he had also been linked with Spurs’ rivals Arsenal.
The Austria international moved to Cologne from LASK Linz in 2012 and played 72 times for the Bundesliga outfit.

Dominic King: Liverpool have been sounded out about a move for Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan but the Argentine is valued at £21million.
The Argentinian has most recently been linked with a move to their Premier League rivals Manchester United, as Brendan Rodgers looks to make an early move in the market and not miss out on his top targets.
Gaitan was Benfica’s third most expensive signing when he joined from Boca for £6million in 2010, and has flourished in Portugal.

Dominic King: Liverpool have seen a £10million bid for Nathaniel Clyne turned down as they look to fill the gap left by Glen Johnson’s departure.
Clyne is high on the wanted list of a number of Barclays Premier League clubs but Liverpool have made a play for the England international.
With Johnson not renewing his contract and Jon Flanagan injured, Liverpool need a right-back and Clyne would tick a lot of boxes though Liverpool’s transfer budget will be key.

Let’s start with something from last night as Sportsmail’s Laurie Whitwell revealed Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood admitted star striker Christian Benteke could leave the club…
Laurie Whitwell: Tim Sherwood has admitted he is powerless to stop Christian Benteke leaving Aston Villa this summer after revealing the Belgium striker has a release clause in his contract.
Liverpool are readying a bid for Benteke, who has scored 12 goals in 14 games since Sherwood’s arrival, and Sportsmail understands £32.5million would trigger the clause.
Saturday’s FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley could well prove Benteke’s last in a Villa shirt with much interest generated by his return to form.
