Petr Cech’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium will take Arsenal another step closer to the Barclays Premier League title, according to Bob Wilson. 

‘I think he is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world,’ Wilson told talkSPORT. ‘As of this moment, I think Thibaut Courtois is the best goalkeeper in the world. I think he is ahead of Manuel Neuer. Petr Cech is right up there with those two.

‘At 33, you are absolutely still in your prime as a goalkeeper with your experience and everything. I think there is five, six seasons minimum from Petr Cech.’

Madrid-based newspaper Marca suggest Sergio Ramos is at ‘war’ with his current employers. 

Ramos is currently locked in contacts talks with Real Madrid but is not happy with the contract offer on the table. 

The Spain international has been linked with a move to Manchester United as the Red Devils are keen on taking one of Real Madrid stars in exchange for David de Gea.

Barcelona’s move for Di Maria would come as a surprise given the fact he represented Real Madrid for four years.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan wants a move to the Premier League this summer and has three offers from top English cubs, according to his agent.

The Turkey international has two years left on his contract with the Spanish outfit and has been strongly linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon stadium this summer.

‘His intention is to leave Spain this summer,’ Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut told Spanish sports newspaper AS.

‘His will is to leave and to play in the Premier League, that is the path he would like to take to continue his career.’

MATT BARLOW: Inter Milan are poised to pounce if Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah rejects the idea of another year at Fiorentina.

Salah has been a sensation since moving on loan to Florence in January and the Italian club are keen to take up their option for another year.

Fiorentina signed a deal six months ago which states they can keep the Egyptian on loan for another 12 months for a nominal fee and can make the transfer permanent next year for £12.8million.

DOMINIC KING: Roberto Firmino has become the second most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history after a £29million deal to sign him from Hoffenheim was completed overnight.

The Brazil international, 23, has agreed a five-year contract, worth more than a £100,000 per week. 

He requires a work permit and will complete the formalities of a medical at Anfield once the Copa America is over. 

Liverpool beat off interest from Manchester United to sign Firmino from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim. The Brazilian playmaker has scored an impressive four goals in nine games for his country since breaking into the national team.
