Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho responds to Dele Alli transfer speculation

Tottenham hammer Southampton

Sunday’s early Premier League clash pitted Tottenham against Southampton.

Both outfits headed into the tie in search of their first league win of the season, after respective 1-0 losses on the opening weekend.

And it would be Southampton who opened the scoring on Sunday, through Danny Ings’ 32nd-minute strike.

Heung-min Son then levelled things up in first-half injury time, bringing an end to a pretty even opening 45.

The second-half, however, very much belonged to Tottenham.

South Korean international Son fired Spurs into the lead two minutes after the break, before incredibly finding the net again in both the 64th and 73rd minutes.

Harry Kane, who had assisted all four of Son’s goals, then finally added his name to the scoresheet eight minutes from time.

Ings went on add his second of the day from the penalty spot in the 90th minute, but, when all was said and done, it proved little more than a consolation for Southampton.
