The latest on Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and more ahead of Arsenal’s meeting with Everton

Arsenal have this afternoon provided updates on the fitness of a number of the club’s stars, ahead of their upcoming clash with Everton.

Arsenal host Everton

Mikel Arteta’s men are set to return to Premier League action tomorrow evening, in a meeting with the Toffees at the Emirates.

The hosts will no doubt head into proceedings brimming with confidence, on the back of a fine spell of form of late.

Arsenal remain unbeaten in 2020 to this point, and have secured wins in 3 of their last 4 outings across all competitions.

The latest of these came on Thursday night, when the Gunners put Greek giants Olympiacos to the sword by a goal to nil in the Europa League last-32 first-leg tie between the clubs.

Arsenal’s latest test, in a little over 24 hours’ time, though, is likely to prove a tough one.

The north Londoners’ upcoming opponents, in the form of Everton, have also looked much improved of late, under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti.

The Merseysiders are unbeaten in 5 in the Premier League, a run which sees them sitting 2 points above Arsenal in the English top-flight table as things stand.

Ozil & Torreira return to the fold

As such, Mikel Arteta will no doubt be keen to have as close to a fully-fit squad as possible at his disposal tomorrow evening.

And, as confirmed a short time ago, the Spaniard’s options have increased on the back of the club’s meeting with Olympiacos.

Mesut Ozil and Lucas Torreira, both of whom missed the Gunners’ trip to Greece, are once again available for selection:

Hector Bellerin and Sokratis Papastathopoulos, on the other hand, are both ‘being assessed’ ahead of Arsenal’s meeting with Everton, with the potential participation of both defenders up in the air as things stand:
