Foden takes to Twitter to highlight his journey to date
Phil Foden took to Twitter last night to Tweet a nostalgic picture highlighting his journey so far, after producing a Man of the Match performance in Man City’s big win at Liverpool, in front of England manager Garth Southgate.
From sitting as a ball boy in 2014 to scoring a wonderful individual goal he captioned it with the popular social media trend of “How it started, How it’s going”.

Foden, still only 20 years old, has long been seen as one of the stand out players of his generation and his showing at Anfield went some way to highlight why he is held in such high regard.
He provided two assists and had another chalked off when John Stones was adjudged offside. He also scored a stunning fourth goal to put the icing on the cake of a fantastic display in what Gary Neville on Sky called his “coming of age” performance.
Pep full of praise but cautious

After moving him out to the right wing from his usual central position, manager Pep Guardiola, praised his performance post match, but also added some caution.
“Of course the second and fourth goal were outstanding, phenomenal and look at the quality there. We cannot forget he is only 20 years old and has an incredible margin to improve.”
“I know he is a guy who is so calm and if he stays in the position he has to stay and he will improve. I still feel he has a margin to understand the game a little bit better.”
He went on to say however that how special the player is.
PEP 💬 What was important was the three points – of course, I’m so proud of the guys who have broken a record that has stood for a long time, that shows how difficult it is and hopefully next time we can do a similar performance with people here. pic.twitter.com/4OLCL5Bk4f

Manchester City are now 14 games unbeaten and Foden is looking like he is ready to fill the hole left by David Silva.
