Pep Guardiola could reportedly reach a decision over Man City future in January

Pep Guardiola’s Man City stint

Pep Guardiola took the reins at Manchester City back in 2016.

Since moving to Manchester, the Spaniard has transformed the Sky Blues into one of the most feared sides in England.

Guardiola has guided City to countless trophies and records, including the highest-ever points total in Premier League history.

The 2018/19 campaign also saw Guardiola’s City become the first male English side to clinch the domestic treble.

When will Guardiola decide his future?

However, Guardiola has struggled to produce similar success in Europe, with Man City knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stages three years in a row.

City also struggled in the Premier League last term, finishing a staggering 18 points off Liverpool.

And with Guardiola now in the final year of his current contract, it is currently unclear whether the former Barcelona man will remain at the Etihad beyond the current season.

It was reported recently that the Manchester giants still believe the former Barcelona boss is the right man for the job, and are confident that he wants to remain at the club.

However, surely if he was that keen to stay, he would have penned fresh terms by now and not left so much unclear.

Regardless, City fans may finally have their answer when it comes to Guardiola’s future by January of 2021.

According to the Daily Mail:

Some sources suggest he will reach a decision in January — by which time the picture will have become far clearer at Barcelona, whose own struggles could present him with a route home.
