Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms he is yet to hold discussions over Man United future

With less than 18 months remaining on his contract, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he is yet to hold talks with Manchester United over his future.

Man United vs Sheffield United

Manchester United are back in Premier League later today.

The Red Devils, began the week sat top of the English top-flight table, two points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City.

However, City were in action on Tuesday evening, and put West Brom to the sword by five goals to nil.

So, that victory, of course, saw Pep Guardiola’s side knock the Red Devils off the Premier League summit, meaning a win against Sheffield United is imperative.

A victory for the Reds should be fairly easy to come by, though.

The Blades sit dead bottom of the Premier League, with just five points amassed from 19 games, having picked up just a solitary win all campaign.

Solskjaer on his future

Ahead of the tie, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been drawn on his future.

The Norwegian has certainly had some up and down spells since returning to Old Trafford.

But he does look to be on course to guide United to one of their best seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson left this time around.

As a result, some United fans may be keen to see Solskjaer stick around for a while.

However, OGS has just under 18 months left on his current contract, and when drawn on his future recently, Solskjaer revealed discussions are yet to take place:

“We haven’t had any discussions yet so, for me, it’s just about keeping on doing my job as well as I can.”
