Official: Dominic Calvert-Lewin pens long-term Everton deal

Everton have this evening confirmed the news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin has committed his long-term future to the club, by putting pen-to-paper on a new contract.

DCL impressing

The current campaign has proven, by some distance, Calvert-Lewin’s most impressive to date.

After managing just 10 Premier League goals over the course of the last two seasons combined, the talented young hitman has already found the back of the net 13 times in the English top-flight to this point in 2019/20.

It is Calvert-Lewin’s form since the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti late in December, though, which has seen fans of not only Everton, but other clubs throughout England, begin to take notice.

Across 10 Premier League appearances on the back of Italian legend Ancelotti’s first outing in charge of the Toffees, the 22-year-old has racked up 8 goals and an assist.

The latest of these strikes came last weekend, as Calvert-Lewin’s early opener eventually saw Everton bag a point versus in-form Manchester United.

Everton stint extended

And, as outlined above, Calvert-Lewin has this evening been rewarded for his rich recent vein of form in front of goal.

As confirmed across the club’s social media platforms a short time ago, the English hitman has put pen-to-paper on a new Everton deal, tieing Calvert-Lewin to Goodison Park until 2025:

DCL actually comes as the 2nd of Everton’s talented young crop of stars to have committed his future to the club this week.
