As world No 1, Novak Djokovic has the funds to live a lavish lifestyle, and he certainly made the most of it on Thursday when he arrived at The Boodles Wimbledon warm-up event in a helicopter.

In a James Bond-esque scenario, with his racket bag slung across his shoulder, Djokovic turned up at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire in style ahead of his win against Richard Gasquet.

It is the Serbian tennis star’s 10th consecutive visit to the Wimbledon warm-up event, as he looks to perfect his game ahead of the main event in SW19 from Monday.

Djokovic beat Gasquet by two sets to one in Stoke Poges on Thursday, in front of a 1,900-capacity crowd.

Djokovic is favourite to triumph at the All-England club following the conclusion of The Boodles event, as he looks to retain his Wimbledon title and win for the third time in his career.

The 28-year-old has already won the Australian Open this year, but missed out on French Open glory, losing to Stan Wawrinka in four sets in the final.
