Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool are back in Premier League action on Saturday, facing off with Southampton at 3 pm UK time.

Jurgen Klopp and co. head into the game having still lost just one game across all competitions this season.

Despite this, Liverpool are actually four points off the top of the Premier League heading into the weekend and one point behind 2nd place, Manchester City.

The Reds are also only two points above West Ham, meaning they cannot really afford to not win in gameweek 13 as it could prove to be a big blow for several reasons.

Southampton, though, are in decent form of late and should be able to give Liverpool a run for their money.

The Saints would lose their last outing, however, they have only lost one in five PL ties recently.

Jurgen Klopp on Liverpool team news & Ralf Rangnick joining Manchester United

Ahead of the match, Jurgen Klopp would speak to the press on Friday afternoon.

When doing so, the German discussed a number of topics including team news.

When asked about the availability of his squad, Klopp stated:

“It’s much better. A week or 10 days ago we had two-and-a-half midfielders. Now that looks different. We could use the Porto game to give some minutes. First time in a while, I have to make decisions, which is actually cool.”

Klopp also gave his thoughts on Ralf Rangnick coming to Manchester United, which he labelled as not good news because the German is a good coach who Klopp believes will organise United:
