It’s the Super Bowl of the current Daily News power rankings.
Our No. 1 team, the Patriots, heads to Lambeau Field to challenge our No. 2 team, the Packers, in a game that will say a lot about the current state of affairs in the league.
With the Cardinals losing in Seattle, they dropped out of the No. 2 spot and were passed by both the Packers and Broncos. The Cards’ only two losses have come on the road against last year’s Super Bowl participants but the Drew Stanton question looms large after his tough day at the Clink.
The New England-Green Bay clash isn’t the only one between our highly-ranked teams this week. The No. 5 Cowboys host the No. 6 Eagles Thanksgiving Day. That night, the No. 7 Seahawks visit the No. 11 49ers.
As for the hapless locals, the Giants remain in the 25th spot after keeping it tight against the Cowboys thanks to Odell Beckham Jr. while the Jets tumble to 28th after getting snowplowed by Buffalo.
As usual, feel free to disagree.
1. (Last week – 1) Patriots (9-2): They’ve got everything going as they head to Lambeau.

2. (3) Packers (8-3): Pats to provide ultimate test of their home field advantage.
3. (4) Broncos (8-3): Surprise. Running game sparks comeback win.
4. (2) Cardinals (9-2): Red flag performance by Drew Stanton.
5. (6) Cowboys (8-3): That’s Tony Romo’s 23rd fourth quarter comeback.
6. (7) Eagles (8-3): They win big but Mark Sanchez throws two more picks.
7. (9) Seahawks (7-4): They win a must-win game, face another vs. Niners.
8. (5) Chiefs (7-4): Raiders loss could end up costing them wild card.
9. (10) Colts (7-4): Extend their AFC South winning streak to 11.
10. (8) Lions (7-4): How could an offense with all that talent be this unproductive?
11. (11) 49ers (7-4): Another week of fending off disaster.
12. (13) Bengals (7-3-1): Dalton gets over the Houston hump.
13. (12) Dolphins (6-5): Another crunch time collapse for vaunted D.
14. (14) Steelers (7-4): Defense getting healthier at right home.
15. (15) Ravens (7-4): Justin Forsett makes them forget Ray Rice.
16. (17) Chargers (7-4): They hang on to win, but last five games are against playoff contenders.
17. (16) Browns (7-4): Hoyer redeems himself with late drive.
18. (18) Bills (6-5): Allen Iverson was evidently right. Practice is overrated . . . if you’re playing the Jets, that is.
19. (19) Texans (5-6): Mallett done for season. It’s back to Fitzpatrick.
20. (20) Rams (4-7): If Sam Bradford hadn’t been hurt, this could have been some season.
21. (22) Bears (5-6): They spoil Lovie’s homecoming.
22. (21) Saints (4-7): Three straight home losses. This team stinks too.
23. (23) Vikings (4-7): Defense makes it difficult on Rodgers, just not difficult enough.
24. (24) Falcons (4-7): Could Mike Smith win the division and still lose his job?

25. (25) Giants (3-8): All they’ve got is Odell Beckham.
26. (26) Panthers (3-7-1): Not to worry. They play in the NFC South.
27. (28) Washington (3-8): Another dud for RG3.
28. (27) Jets (2-9): Can they get any worse?
29. (29) Titans (2-9): Run defense stinks. LeSean McCoy had field day.
30. (30) Bucs (2-9): McCown plays like Cutler in loss to Bears.
31. (32) Raiders (1-10): Derek Carr is better . . .
32. (31) Jaguars (1-10): . . . than Blake Bortles
