PSG to be without Neymar after fresh injury issue
French headliners Paris Saint-Germain will once again be lamenting the international break after star forward Neymar picked up a fresh fitness concern while away on duty with Brazil for CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying.
The Seleção icon missed the 0-0 draw against Argentina in San Juan two nights ago after he flew back to the French capital early after suffering from abductor discomfort.
According to French outlet L’Équipe , this rules Neymar out of contention for PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with mid-table outfit FC Nantes at the weekend, as they look to increase their 10-point lead over high-flying RC Lens.

What remains unclear is whether or not Neymar will be fit for service against Manchester City on Wednesday evening when the two European giants clash at the Etihad Stadium with top spot in Champions League Group A firmly on the line, with just one point separating Les Parisiens from Pep Guardiola’s Citizens.
Positive news surrounding key duo
Though questions remain regarding Neymar and how his fresh abductor problem will affect both him and PSG in the short-term future, boss Mauricio Pochettino will at the very least be pleased with the progress shown by both Marco Verratti and vice-captain Presnel Kimpembe.
Both players actively participated in full first-team training on Wednesday as well as today, after the pair suffered injury setbacks, with Verratti dealing with a hip injury dating back to October, while Kimpembe had a hamstring issue that kept him out since 3 November.
The key duo in the PSG spine are expected to be involved against Nantes this weekend and, barring any setbacks, should certainly also feature in the matchday XI against Man City in the crucial midweek clash.
