Mikel Arteta makes six changes and drops Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Slavia Prague test


All or Nothing

Arsenal host Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League Quarter Final this evening, in what is a huge game for Arsenal in the context of their season.

The Gunners suffered a miserable 3-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out in the Premier League, a result that left manager Mikel Arteta in “shock”.

With the club 10 points off the top 4 it is their most realistic chance of making next season’s Champions League.

Arteta said it is “all or nothing” and “We want to be in the semi-finals and we know how important the game is for us.

Slavia Prague have already knocked out Leicester City and Rangers in this years tournament and will head to the Emirates fancying their chances.

The major story is that Arteta has left Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of the starting line up. Alexander Lacazette is set to lead the line alongside Willian and Saka.

Arteta has responded to the Liverpool hammering and made six changes.

 

 

Aubameyang is joined on the bench by Dani Ceballos and Pepe. Kieren Tierney and Martin Odegaard and are injured and Calum Chambers isn’t in the squad.

Emile Smith Row, Bakayo Saka, Hector Bellerin, Willian, Cederic and Granit Xhaka all come into the starting line up.
