Man United asked about Ansu Fati whilst in talks over Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo re-joins Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Manchester United was officially completed at the back end of August.

The Portuguese returns to the club after over a decade away, having dominated the footballing landscape with Real Madrid and then Juventus.

Ronaldo, as per Man United, is back on a two-year deal with an option of an extra year:

Man United ask about Fati

Ronaldo’s current agent is Jorge Mendes, who has a number of quality clients around the world.

One of these is Barcelona forward, Ansu Fati. The Spaniard burst onto the scene at the Camp Nou during the 2019/20 campaign, and does look set to be the next big talent to emerge from La Masia.

Unfortunately for Fati, he would suffer an injury in the early stages of the 2020/21 campaign, which has seen him out since November of last year.

The 18-year-old is, however, now back in training with the squad, which will come as a huge boost to Barcelona:

And, with Fati back on the mend, it appears that Jorge Mendes has been offering his client to clubs.

As per the Mail, citing Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, it is thought that Mendes offered Fati around to a host of top clubs across Europe, including Manchester City.

However, the report also adds that Man United would asked about Fati during their negotiations with Mendes for Ronaldo:

Manchester United asked super agent Jorge Mendes about the availability of Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati while locked in talks over Cristiano Ronaldo’s return this summer

Man United fans probably should not get too excited, though, with the DM adding that Barcelona are confident their wonderkid will pen a new deal.

Fait is currently in the final 12 months of his contract, but La Blaugrana do reportedly have an option to extend it by two years.
