Man City’s Bernardo Silva warns against writing off Real Madrid in Champions League

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has recently warned against writing off Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Man City see off Real Madrid

Manchester City, especially under Pep Guardiola, do not have the best record in the Champions League’s knockout rounds.

The Spaniard’s first season at the Etihad saw City crash out of the competition in the last-16, with quarter-final exits having followed in the ensuing two campaigns.

So, when the Citizens drew 13-time winners Real Madrid in this season’s last-16, they were probably somewhat disheartened.

However, in what came as a surprise to many, Guardiola and co. managed to earn a 2-1 win at the Bernabeu in the tie’s first-leg at the end of February.

Isco would open the scoring for Los Blancos 60 minutes in, but late strikes from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne ensured City took a much-deserved lead back to the Etihad.
