Kolo Toure has signed a one-year contract extension with Liverpool after turning down more lucrative offers from clubs abroad.
The 34-year-old, whose deal at Anfield was due to expire at the end of next month, could now finish his career in England.
Toure has spent the last two seasons under Brendan Rodgers after leaving Manchester City on a free transfer in the summer of 2013.

The Reds have also tied down Andre Wisdom to a new deal, with the defender signing on until 2019.
Wisdom, who joined the club from Bradford in 2008, spent last season on loan at West Brom.
The 22-year-old is expected to become Liverpool’s first-choice right back next term as Rodgers looks to push Emre Can into his preferred position of central midfield.
