Julian Nagelsmann denies he is going to replace Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich

Munich Manager

Bayern Munich crashed out of the Champions League last night as PSG gained revenge for losing in the final last year, a result that usually comes with ramifications in Bavaria.

Recent stories have suggested that current manager Hansi Flick is set to replace Joachim Low as the head coach of the German national team. Should this transpire, Munich will be looking for a new manager and RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann may be the front runner for the job.

He has however come out today and distanced himself from the rumours which ex club and World Cup winning legend Lothar Matthaus had suggested.

The 33 year old is likely to be much in demand if he decides to leave RB Leipzig when his contract runs out in two years time, if he doesn’t move on before. He is high on the list of next Tottenham manager’s should Jose Mourinho lose his job.

Haaland German Stay

Julian Nagelsmann denies he is going to replace Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich

DORTMUND, GERMANY – MAY 16: Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund celebrates scoring his team’s first goal during the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 at Signal Iduna Park on May 16, 2020 in Dortmund, Germany. The Bundesliga and Second Bundesliga is the first professional league to resume the season after the nationwide lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Daily Mail have reported that Bayern Munich believe that Erling Haaland will sign for the them if he decides to stay at Borussia Dortmund for one season.

It is well known that Haaland has a release clause of £65 million in the summer of 2022, but if he moves this summer it is likely to be for a fee much greater than that.

Bayern don’t believe they will be able to compete for him, should he leave this summer. However, should he decide to stay in the Bundesliga one more year, then they think they have a chance of once again landing the star player from their rivals.
