Harry Redknapp was once touted as a possible England manager and he’s finally got to fulfil his dream – just not with the football team.
The former Tottenham manager took charge of the ‘England’ bowls team and added some of his own managerial spice to the usually tranquil sport.
Staged at ‘England Bowls HQ’, the tongue-in-cheek video follows a day in the life of Redknapp as he attempts to implement some of his more football-suited coaching techniques with his new team of elderly bowls internationals.

‘Sport isn’t always just about winning, it’s also about having a sense of humour and making fun of yourself sometimes,’ said Redknapp.
‘Whether it’s being linked to the England football managerial job or headlines around bad knees, there’s always speculation around me and it’s nice to be able to make light of these.’
Some foul language, his very own fitness regimes and pre-match talks showed the FA what they missed out on when they didn’t appoint him as boss.

The 68-year-old even pulled out one of his famous out-the-car window interview as he entered the headquarters.
Redknapp should make the most of his new national managerial role, with the ship all but sailing on his chances of landing the England job with the football team.
