Hansi Flick tipped for Germany job as Bayern could be left searching for a new coach again

No from Klopp

Ever since the news broke that Joachim Low would be leaving the German national team job the rumours surrounding his replacement have been frequent with the most notable name being Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.

However, the Premier League and Champions League winning Klopp has said his focus is fully on Liverpool and he will not be leaving after the European Championships.

“I have three years left at Liverpool, that’s a simple statement, a simple situation,” said Klopp.

“You sign a contract and you normally try to stick to that contract don’t you? I had a contract in Mainz where I stuck with them even though there was interest from other Bundesliga teams with more money.

“It is just timing and if it doesn’t work out you don’t have to lose any sleep over it.

“Jogi Low did an incredible job for so many years. I understand that he wants to have this highlight at the European Championship, try to squeeze everything out that he can in this tournament, and then somebody else will do the job.

“Someone else will do the job and I am pretty sure with the amount of really good German managers at the moment the German FA will find a good solution.”

It appears Klopp was right regarding other German coaches being the answer based on more recent information.

Flick for Germany

A fellow League and Champions League winner is the target of the German FA as Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick is the new man being touted for the role.

Since taking over from Niko Kovac, Flick has returned Bayern to European supremacy and won the Champions League and Bundesliga at a canter. This has drawn significant interest from the German FA who now seem to be actively pursuing Flick.

Journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft reported the news via social media where he confirmed that the indications are the Bayern boss will take over from Low.

‘All signs from Munich tell me that Hans Flick will be the next German National Coach. I have been wrong a couple times in my life….., but I don’t think I will be wrong here. Bayern got to find a new coach,’ wrote Fjortoft.

Could the Qatar 2022 World Cup see Flick in charge of Germany should they qualify?
