‘Sami’s All-Stars’ won the high-scoring contest 9-8 even though the midfielder represented ‘Khedira XI’ too.

World Cup legend Miroslav Klose proved he still can pull off some magic, scoring an audacious chip from 18 yards having been on a marauding run.

Meanwhile amongst the scorers was Low, who hit a brace acting as a false No 9 and Khedira was impressed by his national boss: ‘I believe that Jogi was almost everywhere on the field. He has done really well,’ praised Khedira.

‘This was an outstanding event. Thanks to all who have come,’ Khedira told the entertained crowd. ‘We have, I think, exceeded all expectations. We still have to count, but I think we have a minimum income of £250,000.’
