‘Fuming’: Norwich fans react as Daniel Farke dismissed on back of Brentford win

Supporters of Norwich City have flooded to social media this evening, to react to the surprise news of manager Daniel Farke’s dismissal.

Bees downed

Farke of course led his side back into action just hours ago.

On the back of a dismal opening to the campaign which saw them languishing at the foot of the Premier League table with just a pair of points to their name, the Canaries made the trip to fellow promoted outfit Brentford, eyeing a long overdue first win since their top-flight return.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what they managed.

A hard-fought affair ultimately saw Norwich emerge on the right side of a 2-1 scoreline, courtesy of first-half strikes on the part of Mathias Normann and Teemu Pukki.

Farke dismissed

As outlined above, though, the feel-good factor at Carrow Road has not lasted at all long in the aftermath of today’s fine result.

This comes with Norwich having released a statement across the club’s social media platforms a short time ago, confirming that Daniel Farke has been sent on his way with immediate effect:

And the Canaries faithful, in turn, have since responded to the news in their numbers, with the overriding sentiment seemingly that, though Farke may no longer have been the right man to lead their side forward, the timing of his dismissal proved nothing short of bizarre:
