FPL bosses take note: What David Moyes had to say about Michail Antonio ahead of Leeds clash

Those Fantasy Premier League managers still concerned regarding the wellbeing of West Ham United star Michail Antonio need not fret.

Lanzini makes the difference

David Moyes’ men are of course set to return to action tomorrow afternoon.

The Irons are primed to make the trip to Elland Road for a Premier League clash, no doubt brimming with confidence on the back of their midweek exploits.

This comes with West Ham, just days on from slipping to defeat at the hands of the Red Devils, having booked their spot in the Last-16 of the EFL Cup at the expense of Manchester United.

A solitary Manuel Lanzini strike proved all that was needed to see the capital outfit put another dent in the hopes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men of bringing an end to their long-standing silverware drought.

Antonio latest

Amid an otherwise stellar evening for West Ham, though, the club’s supporters were also left feeling somewhat concerned.

This came with star attacker Michail Antonio, despite having been suspended for the club’s prior meeting with United, having played no part in the EFL Cup action on Wednesday night.

In turn, panic quickly set in amongst not only the Hammers faithful, but also owners of Antonio in FPL, that the hitman may have picked up some form of injury.

For those who may have missed it, though, David Moyes did in fact provide a brief update on his star man’s wellbeing post-match.

And the news proved of an altogether positive nature:

‘We didn’t see fit to play him this evening, it’s simple as that. We’ve got a big game on Saturday at Leeds as well, so it was just a selection issue really. Mich’s perfectly fit and trained very well.’
