Floyd Mayweather looks set to sensationally snub Amir Khan again and fight Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield later this year.
Boxing’s pound-for-pound king is due to back in the ring in September and speculation continues to grow as to who the 38-year-old will take on in what could be his last fight.
Khan, who won an unanimous points decision over Chris Algieri last month, has repeatedly challenged Mayweather to take him on – having first been overlooked by the undefeated American in 2014.

Along with Khan, a host of boxing’s biggest names – including Britain’s undefeated IBF champion Kell Brook, Keith Thurman and Gennady Golovkin – have been mentioned as potential opponents for Mayweather.
But when asked about who he will fight in September, Mayweather told ESPN’s Dan Rafael: ‘I’m going to fight Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield in September.’
Asked if he was being serious or joking, Mayweather added: ‘S*** happens.’

Instead Mayweather has hinted that he could take on Andre Berto in the ring this September
And speaking on Saturday after Shawn Porter beat Adrien Broner, Mayweather again dismissed the possibility of fighting Khan – replying ‘no’ to reporters, according to boxingnews24.com.
He added: ‘(Porter) can fight on my under-card in September. Either Karim Mayfield or Andre Berto, that’s who Floyd Mayweather will be facing in September.

Mayweather said that he could end up fighting Karim Mayfield (right) in his next bout this coming September
‘I mean, every fighter, you know. One of those guys could upset Floyd Mayweather, you never know. It’s the Mayweather sweepstakes, who’s gonna hit the lottery. It all depends on how I feel.’
Berto, a 31-year-old Haitian-American, is ranked No 1 by the WBA and is a former two-time welterweight champion, while is a relatively unknown 34-year-old American who has lost two of his last three fights.
