Everton hoping to bring down Norwich’s asking price for Max Aarons

Aarons impressing with Norwich

Max Aarons is a product of Norwich City’s youth system.

Despite being just 21, the full-back has already notched over a century of appearances for the Canaries’ senior side.

Aarons was one of the few bright sparks for Norwich during their less than stellar 2019/20 Premier League campaign, and has since shone this season, too, as Daniel Farke’s men edge closer to a swift return to the English top-flight.

Such fine form, coupled with his age and the fact that he is English, in turn, has made Aarons something of a man in demand.

All of Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been credited with an interest in the youngster previously.

Everton looking at Aarons

In more recent times, though, it is another Premier League outfit who have been most heavily linked with a move for the stopper.

That side has been Everton, with the Toffees said to be targeting a new right-back in the summer:

Now, on Wednesday, a fresh update concerning Everton’s pursuit of Aarons has been provided by The Times.

It is claimed that the Merseysiders have indeed identified the youngster as an option at right-back. However, Everton will look to haggle down his asking price, which The Times claim is set at £30m.

Everton believe that Aaron could have a similar impact to Ben Godfrey, who they of course signed from Norwich last year.
