Erling Haaland ‘top’ of Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s centre-forward list

A report from England on Monday has reignited Manchester United’s links to Erling Haaland.

Haaland continues to shine

Haaland, along with Kylian Mbappe, is one of the brightest young prospects in European football right now.

The Norwegian signed for Borussia Dortmund back in December for just €20m.

Said fee has already proven to be one of the bargains of the last several years.

The 20-year-old would hit the ground running in his first season in Germany, notching an impressive 13 goals and three assists in 15 Bundesliga outings.

The hitman has since gone on to carry that form into the current campaign, garnering seven goals and three assists in eight outings across all competitions for BVB – the latest of which saw Haaland net on Saturday as Dortmund put three past Schalke:

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyeing Haaland

Given his age and clear quality, Haaland is bound to attract interest from some top clubs.

And as mentioned above, one club who are still seemingly keen on the striker is Manchester United.

United were heavily linked with Haaland before he made the move to BVB, with his father coming out and claiming the Red Devils missed out because they didn’t want him enough.

Now though, according to a report from The Athletic, despite Edinson Cavani making a good impression in Manchester, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has designs to improve his centre-forward area.

And Haaland, who is understood to have a release clause of €75m from the summer of 2022, is said to be top of the Norwegian’s centre-forward list.
