Eternal resting place

Eric Dier’s love for Spurs is so great that he has today said that he wants his ashes to be scattered at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when his time on Earth comes to an end.

When asked where he would want to be buried, in a Q&A with the Evening Standard, he said it would be at the home of his north London club.

Dier has been at the club since 2014, when he joined from Sporting Lisbon in a £4 million deal. He has made over 270 appearances for the club and has also won 45 caps for his country. He also signed a new contract at the club last summer which commits him to the club for another 4 years.

Spurs fans were given some good news this afternoon regarding their upcoming Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City.

Fans of both clubs will be given 2,000 tickets each for the game at Wembley on the 25th of April. City fans will have to use special Covid-secure transport if they wish to attend.

All fans will have to prove they are Covid free, possibly by way of a certificate showing they have either had a vaccination, a negative test or have immunity.
