UFC President Dana White appeared to play down reports that the UFC 189 headline fight between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor could be called off through injury.
Combate correspondent Ana Hissa broke the news on social media that Aldo had suffered an injury during training and has since been diagnosed with a fractured rib.
However, Dana took to Twitter to simply say: ‘Relax everyone’, which suggests that the grudge match on July 11 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas is still going ahead.

Reports on Monday claiming that Aldo was injured were found to be false, but those rumours appear to have jinxed the fight – with Hissa reporting that the latest injury scare is fresh and happened on Tuesday morning.
Dubliner McGregor is convinced he will defeat the reigning featherweight champion, even claiming he would only need four minutes to do the business.
‘I will show up prepared to kill. It will be decided in the first four minutes; he will be out on his feet. The shots I want to land will land and it will be a formality after that. How long he can take that is up to his chin,’ he said during the pre-fight promotion.
The UFC spent millions promoting the grudge match with a promotional video and five country media tour to drum up interest.

McGregor recently taunted Aldo with an Instagram picture accompanied by the caption: ‘Tick-tock’
