Current Liverpool team ‘not the finished article’, according to Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool dominating England

The last couple of seasons have seen Liverpool become one of the most dominant sides in European football.

The Reds reached the 2018 Champions League final under Jurgen Klopp, where they lost out to Real Madrid, in part due to some Gareth Bale heroics, alongside Loris Karius’ infamous errors.

Liverpool then looked to use that defeat in Kyiv as inspiration for the following campaign.

The Merseyside powerhouse would once again make it to the Champions League final, where they this time picked up a victory over Tottenham, earning their 6th European crown.

In the Premier League, meanwhile, Liverpool notched a staggering 97 points. This was the club’s highest-ever points tally in a Premier League season, and would have seen them win the competition in any year apart from the previous two seasons.

Now, in 2019/20, Liverpool had been, before the season was halted, terrorising the rest of the division.
