Carlo Ancelotti gives Everton injury update before Leicester

Carlo Ancelotti has, on Tuesday, moved to provide an injury update on his Everton squad ahead of their upcoming game.

Everton vs Leicester

Everton are set to welcome Leicester to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The Toffees are currently down in 12th place in the Premier League.

However, should they see off 3rd-place Leicester, the Merseyside outfit could potentially move up to 9th, depending on results elsewhere.

But should Everton fail to pick up three points against the Foxes, though, you would imagine that would all but put an end to their already fading European hopes.

Picking up three points over Brendan Rodgers’ side may be easier than expected though.

Leicester have failed to win any of their three clashes since the restart, scoring just once in the process.

Everton team news

Prior to Wednesday’s key game, Carlo Ancelotti has recently moved to provide an injury update on his Everton squad.

Yerry Mina has been out of action for the Toffees since early June, but when speaking on Tuesday, Ancelotti confirmed the stopper is back available to face Leicester:

“Only Yerry Mina is back [for the Leicester game].”

However, the Italian then went on to confirm that he is unsure when Fabian Delph will be back:

“Fabian Delph is still injured. He is doing individual treatment and training. I don’t know exactly when he will recover fully.”

Djibril Sidibe and Theo Walcott are also set to be sidelined for Everton’s upcoming tie. But said duo will be back in training in less than a week:

“Djibril Sidibe will be back in training on Friday and Theo on Monday.

“It will be very important to have those players available.

“We are beginning a period where we will have a lot of games so it will be important to have a strong squad available.”
