Brazil squad: Liverpool trio included, but Richarlison & Real Madrid stars miss out

The latest Brazilian national team squad has been unveiled on Friday evening, with high-profile names both included and left out.

Argentina test in store

Tite’s men are set to return to action two weeks from today.

After maintaining their spot atop the CONMEBOL standings on the back of the latest round of World Cup qualifiers, the Selecao will get their efforts to book a spot at next year’s Qatar showpiece back underway with a pair of fixtures next month.

First up comes a meeting with Colombia at the Corinthians Arena on Friday, November 12th.

And this will be followed four days later by a highly-anticipated showdown with arch rivals Argentina, after the previous clash between the nations, early last month, was ultimately abandoned mid-match amid unprecedented scenes in Sao Paulo.

Vini misses out

In turn, with such fixtures now just around the corner, this afternoon, as is customary, Tite made official his latest Brazil squad.

A whole host of familiar faces were included, with the likes of Liverpool trio Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, Manchester United midfielder Fred and Leeds United wide-man Raphinha flying the flag for the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho has returned to the fray, alongside Clasico rivals Eder Militao and Casemiro.

Another pair of Real Madrid stars, on the other hand, are amongst the more noteworthy list of players to have been omitted by Tite this time around.

Despite Everton winger Richarlison not being called up amid efforts to regain full fitness, Blancos youngster Rodrygo and, even more surprisingly, the in-form Vinicius Jr, have failed to convince their national team boss of their respective credentials:
