Has Bill Murray found a new day job?

The “Ghostbusters” star surprised fans when he appeared as a ticket-taker at minor-league baseball game in St. Paul, Minn., on Thursday.

Perhaps Murray’s appearance wasn’t a complete shock, since he’s part owner of the St. Paul Saints.

The movie star, dressed in a blue Hawaiian shirt and camouflage shorts, punched fans’ tickets as they entered Midway Stadium. Murray was there to celebrate the last game to be played at the ballpark, which had been home to the Saints for close to 20 years.

Besides taking tickets, the 63-year-old also took to the field to
catch the first pitch. Upon snagging it, he delighted the crowd by throwing the ball into the stands.

The actor’s appearance comes just one week before “Bill Murray Day,” an all-day screening of the star’s most popular films, taking place Sept. 5 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
