Bayern Munich have reportedly signed Man City’s Leroy Sane for around £41m

Reports emerging from various outlets this evening claim Bayern Munich have struck a deal with Manchester City for the services of Leroy Sane.

Sane’s Man City stint

City signed the German back in 2016, paying a fee said to be around £46m to Schalke.

And to say the winger hit the ground running in the colours of Man City would be something of an understatement.

All told, Sane has notched 139 appearances across all competitions for the Sky Blues, in which he has scored 39 and provided 45 assists.

Sane would also, of course, play pivotal roles in City’s 2017/18 and 2018/19 campaigns – both of which saw the Manchester powerhouse dominate the English game, breaking countless records along the way.

Bayern land Sane

However, Sane’s stint in England now looks set to be nearing its conclusion.

The 21-time capped international has been heavily linked with German giants Bayern Munich for the last year or so. But, Sane suffering an ACL injury last August seemingly put any plans Bayern had of moving for the City standout on hold.

Those links would not disappear, though, with Pep Guardiola confirming earlier this month that Sane will be departing either this summer or next year when his contract expires.

And if the aforementioned reports emerging on Tuesday are true, then it is the former of those options which is set to come to pass.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, writing for The Guardian, Bayern have agreed a deal to buy Sane for around £40.9m, plus add-ons.

Bild’s Christian Falk has also reported that Sane to Bayern is a done deal.

It has been claimed that Sane will undergo his medical on either Thursday or Friday.
