Balogun in first team Arsenal training ahead of Slavia Prague, Saliba shows off dribbling skills

Balogun trains

It seems only a matter of time until Arsenal announce that young striker Folarin Balogun has signed a brand new contract at the club keeping him with the Gunners until 2025.

After a long protracted negotiation period in which Arteta remained steadfast in his assumption that the 19-year old wanted to remain at the club, it seems that is now set to take place.

With the new contract will likely come assurances that a route into the first team will be made available.

Evidence suggests this is already taking place with the young striker pictured training with the Arsenal first team in Europa League colours ahead of their quarter-final clash with Slavia Prague.

Whether or not Balogun will be included in the squad, like his youth colleagues Miguel Azeez and Joel Lopez were last week, is, at this stage, unknown.

But the young forward will be relishing the opportunity to show his worth.

Saliba skills

William Saliba has further excited Arsenal fans of his imminent return to the club.

After a tricky start, the 19-year-old Frenchman joined Nice on loan until the end of the season and is putting in some stellar displays.

He recently posted videos to his Instagram page showing off some of his silky ball skills and finishing ability.

Not what you typically associate with a centre-half. However, with Arteta wanting his defenders to have the confidence to play out from the back it seems that he could be the perfect man for the job.
