Arsenal have been dealt a potential pair of blows on the personnel front, after both Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey were forced off during the club’s meeting with Southampton.
Arsenal in front
Mikel Arteta’s men are currently locked in action at St. Mary’s, in their latest Premier League outing.
The Gunners headed into proceedings with revenge in mind, having of course only been ousted from the FA Cup by Ralph Hasenhuttl and co. this past weekend.
This brought to an end a fine spell of form on Arsenal’s part, which had seen the north Londoners rattle off 5 wins and a draw in their last 6 across all competitions.

As things stand in Hampshire, though, the visitors are well on their way to getting back on track.
It was actually Southampton who took the lead in the clash, courtesy of Stuart Armstrong’s wonderful strike from the edge of the area.
Arsenal, however, soon worked their way back into proceedings, before a trio of strikes – from Nicolas Pepe, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette – turned the matchup on its head:

Gunners concerns
As outlined above, though, whilst the result is currently headed towards exactly what was required for Arsenal, it has been far from smooth sailing for the capital giants.
Over the course of the 2nd-half, both Emile Smith Rowe and Thomas Partey were forced to limp off, with what appeared to be respective muscle problems.

This comes with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kieran Tierney having also missed out this evening, and a Premier League meeting with table-topping Manchester United next up this weekend.
