Arsenal star drops hint over availability for Liverpool clash

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to social media, to drop a hint over his availability to face Liverpool this weekend.

Anfield matchup

Mikel Arteta’s men will of course return to action in 24 hours’ time.

On the back of the international break finally coming to a close, the Gunners’ stars are set to turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front, in a Premier League meeting with the aforementioned Liverpool.

The clash marks something of a key one for both sides, with visitors Arsenal currently in the midst of an 11-game unbeaten streak, and keen to cement their place amongst the top-6 once more.

Liverpool, on the other hand, slipped to a first loss of the campaign at West Ham last time out, with a bounce-back result therefore firmly on the agenda for Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasers.

It therefore goes without saying that Mikel Arteta will be keen to have as many of his key performers fit and available for selection as possible on Merseyside.

Ahead of the clash, the main concerns amongst the Arsenal ranks have of course surrounded Thomas Partey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, both of whom have struggled for fitness of late.

When drawn on the wellbeing of the African duo earlier today, Arteta was keen to keep his cards close to his chest:

“Let’s see how everybody is. We have to see them today before assessing and seeing how everybody is.”

As alluded to above, though, just hours later on Friday evening, Aubameyang has taken to social media, to drop a potentially telling hint over his status for tomorrow’s trip to Anfield.

As showcased below, the Gabonese participated in at least some aspect of first-team training today, looking full of smiles as he gears up to, all going well, lead his side back into action for the first time in two weeks:
