Arsenal fans reveal plans for Kroenke Out protest as Hector Bellerin uses Wenger quote to denounce ESL

Arsenal’s supporters have taken to social media on Tuesday evening, to unveil plans for a protest against owner Stan Kroenke later this week.

ESL collapses

The headline news across not only the Premier League, but European football as a whole over the last couple of hours, has of course surrounded the imminent disbandment of the European Super League.

Almost as soon as the plans for the competition’s implementation were unveiled, the initiative has subsequently gone up in smoke.

This comes after Chelsea and Manchester City were followed by Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in disassociating themselves from the project.

Incredibly, this has since been followed by the departure of long-time Manchester United chief Ed Woodward, with rumours also mounting surrounding the respective futures of Andrea Agnelli and Florentino Perez at Juventus and Real Madrid respectively.

The Glazer brothers, meanwhile, following Woodward’s exit, are now said to be giving serious consideration to the sale of United.

Kroenke out?

And, as outlined above, the supporters of another of the Premier League’s heavyweights are ready to strike while the iron is hot, to use the momentum of the Super League’s collapse against their own owner.

As revealed across Twitter this evening, Arsenal’s fans are planning a protest on Friday night, ahead of the club’s meeting with Everton.

The movement will see a concerted push for the long criticised Stan Kroenke to step down from his position as owner at the Emirates, with the Gunners faithful encouraged to ‘bring your banners and your voices’

In another Arsenal-related news on Tuesday evening, meanwhile, Hector Bellerin has followed suit in taking to Twitter, to post a quote on the part of beloved former manager Arsene Wenger, on the back of the ESL’s collapse:
