All the concerning stats behind Liverpool’s latest worrying Anfield showing

All the concerning stats behind Liverpool’s latest worrying Anfield showing

Liverpool vs Fulham

Liverpool played host to Fulham on Sunday afternoon as they looked to put an end to their simply dismal form at Anfield.

After notching a 68-game unbeaten run at home in the league, Liverpool have since lost five in a row on Merseyside.

Such a poor run saw Liverpool slip down to 7th in the Premier League table ahead of kick-off on Sunday.

The Reds were also four points off a Champions League spot, with 4th-place Chelsea not in action still Monday.

As for Fulham, though they are in the relegation zone, they have actually been in decent form of late, losing just one of their last five.

So, with Liverpool putting out a fairly weak side, it did look as though Scott Parker’s side could well get one over on the champions.

And it would be the Cottagers who took the lead in the tie.

After having the better of the action in the opening 45, Fulham took the lead right before the break, courtesy of a Mario Lemina strike:

This was followed by a pretty dire second 45, in which Liverpool were unable to find a reply, condemning them to a 6th straight defeat at Anfield.

Following Liverpool’s latest dismal showing, a number of concerning stats have emerged online, indicating just how poor they have been of late.

Firstly, it was revealed that Liverpool have scored just one goal from 83 first-half shots over their last 13 league games.

Liverpool have also fallen behind in six consecutive Premier League games at Anfield for the first time in their history:

Elsewhere, after Mohamed Salah gifted Lemina the opener, it was confirmed that Liverpool have made nine errors leading to goals in the English top-flight this season, three more than any other team:

And finally, since Liverpool last picked up a point at Anfield, they’ve conceded 10 goals and scored just one there.
