Achraf Hakimi has been linked with a move away from Serie A champions Inter Milan since it was revealed that the club were in 80 million euros worth of debt, which needed clearing this summer.
This revelation led to boss Antonio Conte walking away from the club, and now Hakimi is also set to be shown the exit door.
Chelsea were thought to be interested in the Moroccan international, but ultimately they appear to have been outbid by Paris Saint Germain.
The deal seems close to completion too, with Inter Milan’s CEO Giuseppe Marotta saying that:
“We’re at final stages for Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain, it’s gonna be completed in 24 hours”
Marotta about Lautaro Martinez: “We want to keep Lautaro and we’ve opened talks to extend his contract”.

PSG’s summer strengthening
Hakimi is set to become PSG’s third summer signing as they look to improve on their disappointing campaign in 2020/21 which saw them finish 2nd in Ligue 1 and exit the Champions League at the Semi-Final stage.
He will join two free-agent acquisitions. Georginio Wijnaldum joined the French side after his contract at Liverpool expired this summer.

Moreover, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has joined the Parisians upon the expiry of his current contract at AC Milan, providing Keylor Navas with some real competition in between the sticks.

With Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the forward line, and three quality acquisitions, only a brave man would bet against PSG next season.
