After taking the Premier League by storm this season, it’s inevitable that Riyad Mahrez will attract the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs during the transfer window.
The Algerian, alongside Jamie Vardy, has helped propel Leicester to top spot heading into Christmas and keep their fairytale campaign going.
Speaking to Telefoot, Mahrez has played down reports linking him with a move away from the King Power Stadium and especially with a return to France.

The 24-year-old netted twice from the penalty spot as the Foxes beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park
He said: ‘When I was playing in Ligue 2 my goal was to continue my progress in Ligue 1.
‘But now I do not think I will return to France. I do not think I will go.
‘There are rumours, but I feel very good in Leicester, especially as we are first [in the league].’
Mahrez played a starring role on Saturday as Claudio Ranieri’s side continued their stunning form with an impressive away win against Everton.
The 24-year-old netted twice from the penalty spot, taking his Premier League tally to 13, and scoring his sixth goal in three appearances.
Leicester find themselves five points clear and travel to Jurgen Klopp’s out-of-form Liverpool on Boxing Day before hosting title rivals Manchester City on January 2.
