Former Chelsea coach Jose Morais has emerged as a candidate for the vacant managerial post at Swansea City following the fall-out of Jose Mourinho’s departure at Stamford Bridge.
Morais, 50, is on Swansea’s radar having worked with Mourinho at Inter Milan, Real Madrid and then Chelsea, who he left this week along with his boss.
He made headlines in October when he was involved in a touchline row with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

The Portuguese assistant coach also has managerial experience of his own in Saudi Arabia and Swans chairman Huw Jenkins is aware that previous Mourinho No 2s have gone to enjoy success in their own right.
Andre Villas-Boas, Brendan Rodgers, Aitor Karanka and Steve Clarke all worked under Mourinho and went on to top jobs.

Jenkins went to South America last week in his search for a replacement for Garry Monk but negotiations with former Argentina, Atletico Bilbao and Chile coach Marco Bielsa did not go well while current Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli is expected to stay in that post.
Swansea’s last Mourinho graduate Rodgers helped the club get into the Premier League before departing for Liverpool.
