Missing out on a place in England’s Rugby World Cup squad does not seem to have affected Danny Cipriani’s motivation.
The fly-half was cut from Stuart Lancaster’s 31-man squad for the tournament, which kicks off next week, despite an outstanding cameo performance against France in which he was awarded man of the match.
The 27-year-old is clearly keen to show Lancaster what he is missing after leaving Cipriani out as the Sale back took to Instagram to share a video of him working out under water.

Cipriani, who was named in the preliminary 39-man squad for the World Cup, wrote on the social media site on Wednesday: ‘Trying new things and benefiting.’
Cipriani saw his World Cup dreams shattered when he was one of players to be cut when Lancaster whittled down his squad to 31.
Taking to his Facebook page on the morning of the announcement to thank fans for their support ahead of the announcement, and not revealing whether he knew his fate, Cipriani wrote:

Cipriani was left out of the squad despite a ,am of the match performance against France
‘Can’t tell you how much the support means to me. We all go through our journey in life and learn lessons. I know I’ve made mistakes some criticised rightly or wrongly. Just a quick thanx (sic) to all the nice messages. Really appreciate it.’
England begin their World Cup campaign against Fiji at Twickenham on Friday September 18.
