Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain as his first Bayern Munich signing, according to reports across Europe.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has agreed a deal to replace Pep Guardiola in the summer, and is already targeting new signings for the German champions.
AS in Spain and Sport 1 in Germany claim Higuain has been identified as the ideal centre-forward for Ancelotti’s Bayern squad if Robert Lewandowski leaves the club.

The front of AS on Wednesday morning claimed Gonzalo Higuain is a transfer target for Bayern Munich

Napoli will be keen to keep hold of their man, but Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly keen on taking him to Munich
The in-form Poland striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid or the Premier League, meaning one of Ancelotti’s first jobs in his new role would be to replace the prolific forward.
The front page of Wednesday’s AS in Spain carries a large picture of the 28-year-old, citing his impressive tally of 18 goals in 21 so far this season.
The newspaper report that Bayern Munich are worried about the possibility of Lewandowski choosing Real Madrid, and are setting the wheels in motion to find a replacement.
Fuelling the speculation, Ancelotti was recently quoted as telling Mediaset Premium: ‘Who would I take to my next club? Among the foreigners in Serie A I’d choose Higuain, as he brought Napoli to the top positions with his goals.’

Lewandowski has been in incredible form this season, netting 29 goals in 30 games for club and country
Napoli are currently third in Serie A this season, just a point off Inter Milan at the top.
Higuain has scored over double the goals of any of his team-mates this season, with the second-highest scorer Lorenzo Insigne on seven.
It will surely be a tough task dragging Napoli’s star man away from Italy, but the lure of Bayern Munich and a return to the Champions League may be too good an offer for the 28-year-old.
