Cardiff City have made a £450,000 bid for Bolton midfielder Josh Vela.
Bolton were placed under a transfer embargo on Thursday and are facing a winding up order over an unpaid tax bill as takeover talks rumble on.
They need to sell some of their squad with Vela, Mark Davies and Zach Clough among the most viable assets.

The 22-year-old Vela attracted interest from Liverpool as a teenager and impressed them again last season when he faced them in the FA Cup.
Leicester, Burnley and Ipswich have all made checks on the midfielder who has come through the ranks at Bolton and made over 50 first-team appearances.
However, it is Championship rivals Cardiff who have made the first decisive move with an offer and hope to sign him next week.

Zach Clough is another who could leave Bolton in January with the club under financial strain
