Bordeaux are not happy to sit back and claim a point. Sagnol’s side are on the front foot. The home side just played in a delightful corner but Mignolet stands tall to punch the ball to safety. Just under two minutes left to play in France.

You knew it was coming, especially after Izaguirre’s careless dismissal. Schone’s free-kick goes straight through Celtic’s defence and leaves Gordon in no man’s land.
This man is to blame

Poor, poor defending by Liverpool leads to a goal by substitute
Jussie. The likes of Gomez fails to clear his lines which leads to Jussie’s no-nonsense finish past Mignolet.

Milik hits the bar for Ajax as Celtic struggle to maintain their early form after being reduced to 10 men.

Ings, who has replaced Origi as Liverpool’s main striker, is straight into the thick of the action. He works space for himself in the penalty area, however his shot is comfortably beaten clear by Bordeaux’s goalkeeper. Just under 15 minutes left to play in France.

Celtic’s hopes of hanging onto their lead in Holland have taken a blow as left back
Emilio Izaguirre has seen red for two bookable offences.
He walks off with an embarrassed look on his face. He should be…

Adam Lallana’s finish goes into the net

It looked like it was going to take a piece of individual brilliance to change the game in France and that’s what we have got.
Lallana picks the ball up at the edge of the box before dribbling the ball past Pablo via a nutmeg. He then fires the ball into the net with a cool and precise finish.

Liverpool have Mignolet to thank for Bordeaux’s failure to score.
He rushes out of his goal to block a goalbound shot before Crivelli fails to divert the rebound into the back of the net as the ball was travelling too fast. Remains 0-0 with 25 minutes left to play.

Firmino and Ings may be given the nod to take off their tracksuit bottoms and enter the fray soon as Rodgers really needs to change things up if Liverpool are to claim the three points.
Lallana just had an attempt saved by Bordeaux’s shot stopper. He turned his man before unleashing a shot but it did not quite creep into the corner of Carrasso’s goal.

Nani may have to produce the goods once again as Molde have scored their second goal in Turkey. Celtic and Molde are leading the way in Group A at the moment.

Tottenham XI to play Qarabag: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose, Carroll, Dier, Townsend, Alli, Lamela, Son

Liverpool missed that real spark to really ignite their performance during the first half.
Coutinho came close to breaking the deadlock but he needs his team-mates to replicate his level of performance.
It’s time for the likes of Origi and Ibe to step up to the plate.
Brendan Rodgers looks on

Nani celebrates his first-half goal

Ajax 1-2 Celtic
Fenerbahce 1-1 Molde
Bordeaux 0-0 Liverpool
Sion 1-0 Rubin Kazan
Dortmund 1-1 Krasnodar
Qabala 0-0 PAOK Salonika
Midtjylland 0-0 Legia Warsaw
Napoli 3-0 Club Bruges
Rapid Vienna 0-1 Villarreal
Viktoria Plzen 1-0 Dinamo Minsk
FC Gronigen 0-2 Marseille
Slovan Liberec 0-0 Braga

Was Van Gaal wrong to sell both Nani and Van Persie?
Nani has added to his Fenerbahce tally by scoring against Group A rivals Molde.
The Portuguese winger linked up with his compatriot Raul Meireles by flicking his cross into the net with a cushioned finish.

Liverpool’s flair players have failed to make the difference in France with the scores all level at half-time.

Lustig’s goal before the break has allowed Celtic to go into the interval with a one-goal advantage.

Cillessen will not want to see Celtic’s goal against. Lustig rises above Ajax’s defence to head home, however the ball goes past the legs of the Holland national team goalkeeper.

Molde have taken the lead in Turkey. Fenerbahce, who are also in a group with Celtic and Ajax, have Van Persie and Nani in their side.
Robin van Persie in action for Fenerbahce

Club Bruges, who were eliminated from the Champions League by Manchester United during the final qualifying stage, are currently being beaten 3-0 by Napoli.

The injury to Kolo Toure has forced Brendan Rodgers into a tactical readjustment. He now looks to have returned to 3-4-2-1 with Emre Can, Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho making up the defence. A big night now beckons for Pedro Chirivella, a promising young midfielder from Spain who has been linked with Real Madrid.
Kolo Toure was forced off with an injury

Toure’s attempt to shake off his minor injury has failed as he has been forced off.
Chirivella has taken his place, with Can dropping into Liverpool’s defensive set up.

Ajax have managed to score an equaliser through Viktor Fischer.
The Dutch side pass the ball around in front of Celtic’s goal before Fischer’s driven shot lands in the back of the net. Game on at the Amsterdam ArenA.

The majority of the game has been played in Liverpool’s half with the away side struggling to keep hold of possession.
Kolo Toure appeared to be pick up a minor knock earlier in the half but seems OK to carry on.

Celtic take the lead in Amsterdam

There could be a major surprise in Germany as Russian outfit Krasnodar have taken the lead against Dortmund.
Januzaj is starting for the home side.

Back in Bordeaux, Liverpool’s supporters have unveiled a banner in support to local lad Rossiter. He is being deployed as a defensive midfielder in the absence of Lucas.

Far from a capacity crowd here but the ultras behind one goal are making a huge din for the home team, not least the cheerleader who is whipping the crowd up with a loud speaker. No scares for Liverpool yet and they have had the best chance through Philippe Coutinho. Much depends on him tonight to lead this team forward.

Celtic open the scoring through Nir Bitton. The midfielder is given the time and space to pick his corner and leaves former Manchester United target Jasper Cillessen rooted to the spot.

Liverpool look like a much stronger side when Coutinho is involved.
It will come as no major surprise that he has gone close to opening the scoring. He makes space for himself before shooting at goal, however he dragged his effort wide.

Rodgers has set his side up in a 3-4-2-1 formation with Coutinho and Lallana tasked with supporting lone striker Origi.
They have a major role to play this evening as Origi could become frustrated if he is isolated.

With Henderson and Milner both missing, Rodgers has decided to hand the captain’s armband to Sakho.
Not only does he have the chance to stake a claim for a spot in Liverpool’s side to take on Norwich at the weekend – but he can also show his leadership qualities to his manager.
Mamadou Sakho stretches during the warm up

Mignolet has managed to overcome a tough spell to make his 100th appearance for the Reds tonight.
The goalkeeper, who joined Liverpool in a £9million deal in June 2013, will be keen to mark the occasion with a clean sheet.
Simon Mignolet warms up before kick-off

Celtic face a difficult test in Holland tonight as they take on Ajax in Amsterdam in their Group A opener.
PSV Eindhoven picked up all three points against Manchester United in the Champions League this week – proving that Eredivisie sides can hold their own in Europe.

Rodgers has said Origi has the potential to be a ‘world class’ striker so the Belgium international will be desperate to repay his manager by showing his worth.
His only competitive appearance for Liverpool thus far came at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the 20-year-old coming on for the last 16 minutes.
He will be desperate to take his chance to ensure he remains in Rodgers’ plans.
Origi came off the bench to start against Manchester United

Sportsmail’s Dominic King has named five players who have everything to gain tonight as they look to cement a place in Liverpool’s regular XI.
Mamadou Sakho – On the periphery since the beginning of the campaign, Rodgers confirmed in his pre-match briefing that the France international will start and that he wants to offer him a new contract.
Sakho is popular figure with a section of Liverpool fans and there has been a sense of bewilderment among them that Rodgers have favoured Dejan Lovren over him. The left-footed Sakho would seem a natural partner for Martin Skrtel and a good performance here would enhance his prospects.

Mignolet, who is making his 100th appearance for Liverpool tonight, Gomez and Can are the only players to keep their spot in Rodgers’ line-up following the defeat by Manchester United.
Rodgers has instead decided to give minutes to the likes of Origi, Sakho and Ibe.
Coutinho comes back into the team after serving a domestic ban following his red card against West Ham.

Liverpool will be hoping to get their European adventure underway with a win at the Nouveaux Stade de Bordeaux tonight.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will be desperate to get back to winning ways following two consecutive defeats in recent weeks.
Their last outing saw the Reds lose 3-1 against Manchester United – with Liverpool’s only highlight being Christian Benteke’s superb bicycle kick.
