Mesut Ozil has certainly earned some time off. The classy Arsenal midfielder has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers so far this season, topping the assists chart by some distance.
The Germany international’s tally of 15 goals created is more than double those of Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez and Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu (seven).
After making both of his team’s goals in the 2-1 victory over title rivals Manchester City on Monday night, Ozil has since taken a couple of days to soak up the sun in an undisclosed location.

Ozil has provided 15 assists in the Premier League so far this season, more than any other player
Ozil joined Arsenal in the summer of 2013 from La Liga giants Real Madrid for a club-record £42million transfer fee.
In his three campaigns at the north London club, there is no doubting that his current one is his best.
Ozil revealed to German football magazine Kicker earlier this week that a change in his lifestyle had prompted his upturn in form.
He said: ‘The biggest change started when I was injured last year and I changed my diet and started to look at the small details in my life.’

The former Schalke and Werder Bremen playmaker explained: ‘For example I started to have physiotherapy on my days off and made sure I had a good sleep.
‘That is crucial over here [in England]. It is the fastest league in the world and we often play twice a week with no winter break.’
Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table with 36 points, two off the pace of leaders Leicester.
