Arsenal are routinely mocked for finishing fourth — and it could theoretically happen again — but they look certain to be No 1 in one Premier League table this season: the prize-money list.
The Gunners come out top in a Mail on Sunday forecast of TV and commercial earnings to be paid by the league to the 20 clubs and are expected to collect around £100million.
Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United (all around the £96m to £98m mark) are also expected to bank more prize money than miracle title winners Leicester, although the Foxes (expected to earn around £93m) should make more than their final-day opponents Chelsea (about £89m).

Title winners Leicester come in fifth in the standings, having only been televised on 15 occasions this term
These totals will be ratified by the league soon and finishing positions will cause change, but our table provides a guide, give or take a few million.
Each club gets a share of domestic TV income, foreign income and commercial deal income and then differing amounts based on merit (finishing position) and times shown live on TV.
Arsenal will have appeared live on TV more times (27) than anyone, hence their total winnings exceeding Leicester’s (15 live games).

The MoS forecast expects Norwich and Aston Villa to be the lowest earners with around £66m each.
Our table also shows how the prize money will soar next season with the new £8.3billion, three-year TV contract.
Whoever finishes bottom next season can expect to win as much as the highest-earning club this season, while the top club next season can expect around £150m from central funds.
